Toronto Landscape Photographer: Memories of Colombia Part 4

With this post I’m wrapping up the series on El Peñon de Guatape. Traveling by car, El Peñon is about a 90 minute drive from Medellin and unfortunately I cannot recommend a tour company or anything similar, as we travelled with a friend. Once you are done climbing to the top of El Peñon, you can go to the town of Guatape and check out the colorful homes on the way to the town’s plaza.

Climbing el Peñon is no easy task and just to give you an idea, here are a couple of pictures showing the steps you have to climb and just how high it looks from the halfway point. If you want more information on El Peñon, I can save you the trip to Wikipedia by clicking here.
