• Welcome!

I'm a Toronto-based wedding and portrait photographer. My passion for photography has been with me since high school, where I was often mistaken for the yearbook photographer because I carried my camera with me almost daily.

While wedding photography in Toronto is very competitive, I truly believe we all bring different combinations of skill, talent and an eye for composition. The difference between us wedding photographers is our unique style, and if you are here it's probably because you have noticed my own approach to covering that special day. Please take a look through my engagement and wedding photography portfolios and let your imagination fly.

I hope you enjoy your journey through this blog, and I truly hope you'll be compelled to book an appointment when you are done.

Toronto Portrait Photographer – Colombian Farmer Purchasing Groceries

This image was captured in the mountains outside the town of Barbosa, province of Antioquia in Colombia. When you live that far out into the mountain, you better make sure you get everything you need on your trip to the grocery store.

Toronto Street Photography – Abstract Frame on Queen St. West, Toronto

This frame was taken on a photo walk around Queen St. West, which ended at Arepa Cafe. Sometimes, you just like a picture you’ve taken for no good reason. The composition on this frame is completely chaotic, and there’s not a single point in the picture that draws you in but I just like the way the buildings across the street reflect on the glass front of the Zara store the two kids are standing in front of.

Toronto Street Photography – A Foggy Night at The Corner of Yonge & Queen St. East

A lone businessman/employee going home after a long day at work in downtown Toronto. It was a foggy night, and everyone was eager to go home. I just happened to be an observer of a routine city scene, which unfolds day after day, regardless of the weather.

Toronto Landscape Photographer – Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival 2008

These two frames were captured at the Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival in 2008. I’d say the best time to capture the essence of the festival is right at dusk, when there’s still enough ambient light to mix with the light displays.

Toronto Portrait Photographer – Dramatic Lighting at Toronto Waterfront

This is another frame from that memorable session with Nyki Palmer, and Jared Wielfaert of Jared Wielfaert Photography. The ominous sky was a perfect backdrop for our model, and the cross lighting technique we used created the dramatic lighting you see here. However, the product would have not been complete without a little post-processing. This time I used one of Aperture 3’s Presets (Toy Camera) to achieve the final “dark” look I was looking for.
