Toronto Portrait Photographer – A cold afternoon at the Don Valley Brickworks

For those of you who live in Toronto, or have visited often enough, The Brickworks had always been a spot to visit in a photographer’s agenda. It won’t take long for your to find an engagement photo taken there, a fashion shoot or anything similar with the abandoned factory as a backdrop. Evergreen took over the renovation project awhile back and while the factory remained untouched for quite some time, last year it was finally demolished (partially) in order to begin the restoration process. A lot of us are going to miss that place and all of its dilapidated structure but that’s the way it is, the old making room for the new. Here are a few shots that I took back in February of 2008 with a few members from the Toronto Photography Meet Up Group:

The very Talented Jasmine. You owe it to yourself to check out her Photostream on Flickr.

Then there’s Ryan, another very talented photographer who moves seamlessly between the world of film and digital photography.

And then, there’s me.
